Aging Matters, also known as Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging, is a not for profit organization serving an eighteen county area in Southeast Missouri, with the regional office in Cape Girardeau.

 

The essential goal of our organization is to provide quality services to enhance the health, safety, and well-being of persons, age 60 and over, enabling them to live in their own homes for as long and independently, as possible.

Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dunklin, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Perry, Reynolds, Ripley, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Scott, Stoddard, and Wayne.

Our mission at Aging Matters is to develop a coordinated delivery system of services to assist and enable older Missourians to remain in their own homes as long as possible and enhance the quality of life for all older Missourians.

Aging Matters' public policy mandates that the Board and Advisory Council's meetings, records, votes, actions, deliberations, and Area Plan are open to the public, in accordance with the Aging Matters Policy and Procedures for Sunshine Law Compliance.
