About Aging Matters
Aging Matters is a not for profit organization servicing an eighteen county area in Southeast Missouri.

Aging Matters is one of ten Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in Missouri. Nationwide, there are over 600 AAAs, all established under the Older Americans Act of 1965, which funds a range of services and programs for older adults.

The essential goal of our organization is to provide quality services to enhance the health, safety, and well-being of people who are aged 60 and over, enabling them to live in their own homes for as long and independently as possible.
Aging Matters is governed by a Board of Directors that is comprised of one member from each of our 18 counties. Members are elected by adults, aged 60 and over, living in the county they represent.

Our Mission
Our mission at Aging Matters is to develop a coordinated delivery system of services to assist and enable older Missourians to remain in their own homes as long as possible and enhance the quality of life for all older Missourians.
