IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT COVID-19 AND SERVICES
Because Aging Matters. A Message to our Seniors and Community.
As we all face continuing challenges regarding COVID-19, Aging Matters will continue to earn the confidence of seniors, caregivers, and the community in our 18 county region. We strive to continue to provide our services to the best of our ability with limitations.
Our home office, located at 1078 Wolverine Lane, Cape Girardeau, MO, is closed for walk-in services effective March 18, but will still be available to assist you by telephone. A reopen date is unknown at this time.
In order to proactively reduce the risk of exposure to our seniors, as well as our staff, many of our local Senior Centers have chosen to limit interaction by closing to the public. However, staff is on site and meals will still be provided through home-delivery as well as curbside pickup onsite at the Senior Center. Please consider contacting your local Senior Center to see if they are still open for congregate dining.
As a way to protect our meal delivery drivers as well as our homebound seniors, home delivered meals will currently be delivered without any cross-contact. Once the delivery person can visually verify the senior is home, the meal will be left on a table/chair that has been selected by each senior.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our office during our business hours Monday-Friday, 8-5.
Thank you,
Lana Johnson
Executive Director
