The Kennett OAKS Senior Center is the recipient of the building previously occupied by the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) in Kennett. The building, located at 100 East Harrison, was donated by VNA when they moved to a larger facility in Kennett.  Currently located in the Kennett Housing Authority, the senior center has outgrown the space and is limited to what activities and services can be provided to area senior citizens.    The Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Volunteer Intergenerational Center Annual Recognition Banquet was Held April 17 at the Eagles Aerie #3775 in Cape Girardeau. Approximately 200 volunteers attended. This year, the event opened with a special tribute to Tina Nations, Program Director, who passed away in February.
