   The Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Volunteer Intergenerational Center Annual Recognition Banquet was Held April 17 at the Eagles Aerie #3775 in Cape Girardeau. October 2013 marked the 40th anniversary of Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging providing services to the senior citizens in the Southeast Missouri area. To spotlight the occasion and introduce the name change of the agency to Aging Matters, two special events were held. The first event held was at the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau on October 1st. Annually, the Nutrition Program at Aging Matters, directed by Lana Johnson holds an Administrators Retreat. Attending the two-day event are the administrators of the 33 senior centers located in the 18 counties of our district in Southeast Missouri. The purpose of the event is to provide training in various areas to assist the administrators in their everyday responsibilities.
